Levelling & filler compounds

Fugalin®

Joint filler for tiles

Characteristics and purpose:

Fugalin is a highly waterproof compound, applicable for grouting ceramic, mosaic and stone tiles, both interior and exterior. It is used for wall and floor surfaces, where the joint width does not exceed 10 mm.
Fugalin is manufactured in various shades according to Maxima grouting color card.

Instructions for preparation and use:

add approx. 600 ml of water to fugalin bag content, mix it in a mixer and leave it to rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the mixing procedure and the grouting compound is ready for use. Open time is 2 hours.
Apply fugalin with a rubber skimmer at an angle to the joint direction, pressing it into the joints. Wait about 10 minutes after applying the compound, wipe the entire tiled surface using a fine sponge for grout joints, and finally polish the surface with a dry cloth. When using tiles that are very porous and coarse, before beginning, first check the cleaning instructions.
Sanitary cleaning agents can be used for maintenance.

Consumption:

depending on joint width and depth, as well as the tile format, from 0.5 to 1.0 kg/m².
After use, clean the tools immediately with water. Working temperature: +5°c to +30°c.

Samoliv®

Levelling compound for interior concrete floors

Characteristics and purpose:

Samoliv is a self-levelling compound used for levelling of interior concrete floors. It is suitable for application in rooms having underfloor heating, prior to applying floor linings (pvc floors, laminates, parquets...). After hardening, a fine smooth surface is obtained. It is applied in a thin coat, maximum thickness up to 8mm. If a thicker coat is necessary, repeat applying, but only over dried coat. Samoliv is not intended to be a final treading coat.

Application mode:

Compound preparation: stir thoroughly 25kg of samoliv in 6l of water until homogenous clot-free compound is obtained and leave it for 3–5 minutes. After that again stir thoroughly and levelling compound is ready for applying. Apply thus prepared compound onto desired surface. Applica-tion time is 25 minutes and the prepared compound must be used up within this period. Spill the prepared samoliv on substrate which must be clean, free of grease and other impurities that can prevent adhesion. If there are larger holes on the surface use keramol for their filling one day prior to applying samoliv. Prime substrate with acrylic primer maxikril concentrate or maxikril hydrosol, and apply samoliv after drying the prime coat. Prepared compound is applied mechanically or manually – by spilling. After applying, use metal trowel or rubber or metal spreader so as to spread compound uni-formly. Floor can be trodden after 24 hours, and/or 48 hours depending on the thickness of applied coat. Further treatment is possible after 4–5 days.

Application temperature:

From +50 c to +300 c

Consumption:

Approximately 1.4kg/m2 for thickness of 1mm

Shelf-life:

6 months in closed and undamaged package in a dry and ventilated room.

Gletolin® S

Levelling compound for façade surfaces

Characteristics and purpose:

Gletolin S is a powdered compound for levelling of concrete and firmly plastered interior and exterior wall surfaces.

Application mode:

Compound preparation: stir thoroughly 25kg of gletolin s in 9l of water until homogenous clot-free compound is obtained. Leave it for 15 minutes, and again stir thoroughly. Compound is usually applied in two coats, manually, by corrosion-resistant plasterer’s float. Use up the pre-pared compound within 2 hours. Sand dry coats with emery paper. Total thickness of two coats must not be more than 3mm. Drying time for sanding, and/or for application of another coat is 8-12 hours at temperature of 200 c. Protect fresh surfaces against the rain, sunshine and wind. Thus skimmed surfaces can be painted after 14 days.

Application temperature:

From +50 c to +300 c

Consumption:

1.0 – 2.0 kg/m2, depending on substrate roughness.

Shelf-life:

6 months in closed and undamaged package in a dry and ventilated room.

Gletolin® G

Levelling compound for interior walls

Characteristics and purpose:

Gletolin g is a paste-like compound for fine levelling of interior, firmly plastered wall surfaces as well as gypsum cardboard panels. Levelled surfaces can be painted with any type of dispersion paints.

Application mode:

Gletolin G is ready-mixed for application. Wall surfaces onto which the compound is applied must be load-bearing, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Prior to application of gletolin G, prime surfaces with maxikril, according to manufacturer's instruction. Ready made compound is applied onto wall surfaces by steel plasterer’s float or corrosion-resistant painting blade. It can also be applied mechanically, and in such case it should be diluted with some water. After drying, a coat should be sanded with emery paper. Maximum recommended total thickness of the coat is up to 3mm. Drying time prior to application of the next coat is minimum 12 hours.

Application temperature:

From +50 c to +300 c

Consumption:

1.5–2.0kg/m2, depending on substrate roughness.

Shelf-life:

12 months in original, well closed and undamaged package at temperature from +5°c to +25°c, protected against direct sunlight.

Gletolin® M

Compound for machine leveling for interior walls

Characteristics and purpose:

Gletolin m is powdered compound intended for machine levelling used for interior, firmly plastered wall surfaces. Levelled surfaces that are completely dry can be painted with any type of dispersion paints.

Application mode:

Dose Gletolin® M into the machine, start the machine and carry out adjustments of water quantity and mixing speed. Prepared compound at outlet spray nozzle must be of required density. Apply gletolin m onto surfaces that are dry, clean, load-bearing, and free of dust, grease and other impurities. In most cases carry out application in two coats. Drying time of each coat is 12 hours. After drying, each coat should be sanded with emery paper, mechanically or manually.
