Glues for wood & parquet

Maxikol® KP

Glue for parquet

Characteristics and purpose:

Maxikol KP is used for gluing all classic parquets and wooden prefabricated members for con-crete, wooden and similar substrates.

Application mode:

Maxikol® KP is ready-mixed for use, and should be thoroughly stirred. It is applied by drag in a coat of 1–2mm, to even, dry and smooth substrate free of grease stains, lime, dust and crumbly parts. On uneven floor parts levelling with Samoliv is required. Lay woodblocks on applied glue and press thoroughly. Further treatment of parquet, grinding and lacquering may be carried out 24 hours after gluing.

Gluing requirements:

Humidity of concrete substrate is maximum 3%, and wooden from 8% to 12%,

Relative parquet humidity: 8%-12%,

Application temperature of air, substrate and parquet should be from +5°c to +25°c,

Due to drying time, glue must be applied on surface not larger than 5–7m2 before laying par-quet.

Consumption:

From 0.8 to 1.2kg/m2, depending on substrate roughness.

Shelf-life:

12 months in original, well closed and undamaged package at temperature from +5°c to +25°c, protected against direct sunlight.
